A native of Louisville, Tanya earned a B.S. in Business Management. M.A. in Teaching, M.A. in School Counseling grades K-12 as well as Ed.S. in Educational Leadership/Principal Certification all from the University of Louisville. She has 20 years in the public school setting in the areas of special education teaching and educational administration leadership experience.

Tanya is a doting aunt of six nieces and nephews who affectionately call her “Aunt Tee”, a super huge fan of the group New Edition, and a devoted member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. actively serving in the Louisville Alumnae Chapter.
